Travel Themed Wedding Stationery – With so many weddings now so formulaic, many couples are choosing to inject a touch of their own personalities into their big day. While some will go the whole hog and base their entire wedding theme around their hobbies or their history as a couple, others will choose simply to add little touches here and there that show their guests what is special to them.

Here at Wedfest we’ve created a lot of festival and concert themed wedding stationery for our clients, but we have also found that travel themed wedding stationery and travel themed wedding invites are becoming more and more popular. Travel is a subject that is close to the hearts of a huge number of couples, and in a wide variety of different ways.

Some couples will have met in an exotic destination (or, at least, a destination that is not currently their home town!) and may want to incorporate this destination into their wedding. Others may have travelled the world together and want to share their experiences with their wedding guests, while some couples may simply be known for their love of a particular country or culture. The travel theme is also a popular one for those having a destination wedding abroad.

Because there are so many different ways in which the travel theme can be incorporated into a wedding, there are lots of different ways in which wedding stationery can be designed to fit the theme. In the past, we’ve designed travel themed wedding invites designed to look like airline boarding passes, as well as wedding invitations that feature an image of a world map, pinpointing the countries and places that are of significance to the couple (including the location of their wedding, of course!)

It doesn’t need to stop at invitations, though – the travel theme can be carried through to a whole host of other wedding stationery items. We can design seating plans that have a travel theme, such as those in the design of a map with tables representing countries, towns or regions that are of importance to the happy couple.

We have designed many travel themed wedding table plans based on couples favourite destinations or cities such as Paris, New York and Ibiza to name a few. Orders of service, menus and table names and place cards can also be created to match the overall travel theme, while travel-obsessed couples can also have their thank you cards designed in the same vein to continue the theme even after the ceremony.
