Concert Themed Wedding

Concert Themed Wedding – Anna and Steve tied the knot last weekend and these two music lovers got in touch with Wedfest last year looking for us to design them awesome concert themed wedding stationery as they are avid gig goes and are always going to concerts and are huge fans of live music.

In their design brief the couple made it clear that they did not want a festival themed design as festivals aren’t their thing but rock concerts and live music are so the first note to take was steer clear of fields, tents, bunting, wellies and all the usual elements found in a festival and especially in our festival themed wedding stationery.

For the invites the couple wanted to have concert ticket themed wedding invites in the style of a gig ticket with a tear off ticket stub that could used for the RSVP card. When working on the design we came up with a design that looked more like an intimate indoor live music concert which is exactly the type of thing that the couple love. Using a very simple colour palette of red, black and white we created the feel of a live rock concert and had the concert crowd and a silhouette of the couple right there at the front of the crowd cheering on the live band on stage.

The reverse side of the gig ticket wedding invites had all the main information regarding the wedding invitation and the wedding day itself, with the RSVP options on the ticket stub so that the guests could easily fill this in and reply to the couples invite.

For the day of the wedding we made the couple these super cool Concert VIP Pass lanyards for all their wedding guests to wear on the day. The wedding VIP passes where in the true style of a concert Access All Areas backstage pass and featured the details of the couples wedding.

On the front the VIP Pass had all the information of the couple and the wedding date and venue for the reception which was Great Fosters, Egham. At the bottom there was an area for each wedding guests name to be written for their pass. Above this was a note from the couple to say thank you to their guests for celebrating their wedding day with them, and below the VIP name section was a quote from the Arctic Monkeys which read “We bet you look good on the dance floor” which of course is a polite way of telling your guests don’t be sitting on your arse all night get up and rock the dancefloor!!!

The reverse side of the vip wedding lanyards had the running order of the day information which included the wedding ceremony time and the wedding breakfast time. Below this was the Wedding Breakfast Menu which was displayed in the style of a concert stage times line up. Starting with the Warm Up Act which was the starters, the the Main Event which was the main course of the dinner and followed by The After Party which of course was the dessert.

To finish the VIP Concert Passes they couple had information on the band that was playing at the wedding and what time the party would start and finish at.

The final piece of wedding day stationery we made for Anna and Steve was their Concert themed Wedding Table Plan. Again keeping the same design running through all the wedding stationery we wanted this to be laid out like a concert poster.

The couple wanted to name each of their wedding tables after their favourite albums and in fact use the album covers to identify each of the tables. Each table on the table plan therefore featured a chosen album cover by one of their favourite bands or artists and the names of each of the guests sitting at that table underneath.

This was a really fun project to work on and nice to focus more on a concert theme for the wedding invites and wedding stationery and step away from all the festival style designs.
