The Wedding Festival Company – As you know Wedfest is your one stop shop for all things wedding stationery – save the dates, invites, wristbands, lanyards and table plans etc. when it comes to festival weddings, but we often get asked to recommend other vendors and wedding suppliers to help couples organise their Wedding Festivals.
Well let us do one better than that and introduce you to a company who can do more than help you, but in fact organise a complete festival for your wedding, and we are not talking booking a band and a venue, these guys will literally put on a full blown festival for you, organising everything from Teepee’s / Tents & Venues to the bands, music, food, decor, toilets, entertainment and everything in between that you would expect from a festival. Let me say it again these guys just don’t organise a wedding they organise your full Festival Wedding! So who the hell are they I hear you cry? Well they are called The Wedding Festival Company and they are led by a lovely lady called SJ (Sarah-Jane) with super-hero organisational powers and here is what she has to say about her fantastic company.
SJ – “At The Festival Wedding Company we don’t organise a festival themed wedding here, we actually come in and organise a proper music festival! We charge an event management fee, but we really work for it! We have suppliers and musicians all over the country ready to tap into events that we have negotiated rates with to create the most epic festival weddings imaginable. From stilt walkers to fire acts and of course wristbands, lanyards and invites (supplied of course by our good selves at Wedfest) we at The Festival Wedding Company just take the headache out of planning the most important day of your lives.”
I asked SJ what a typical wedding festival was like for them. The answer, as expected wasn’t short! “Generally two members of the team arrive on the Wednesday or Thursday before the big day to make sure the marquee/tepee gets erected in the right spot. We then pitch up there ourselves from the Thursday as this is when our stage, sounds and lights go in. Friday, the rest of the crew rock up and it is all about decorating the venue with bunting, vintage displays, straw bales, chill out areas. Most of our venues allow quiet camping on the Friday night as some guests do have a fair distance to travel.
Then the big day!!! We are all up at dawn putting the finishing touches to the site and making sure that everything looks perfect. We definitely recommend that couples have their blessing at midday to make the full use of the day! The afternoon is all about acoustic sessions, children’s arts and crafts tents, caricaturists, stilt walkers, face painters, hula hooping workshops and enjoy a chilled drink in the sunshine!
The evening session we tend to bring on the electric sets and really get the venues rocking, with of course obligatory stage diving by the bride and groom! Lots of our couples this year are opting for a silent disco at 11pm for a couple of hours, they are great fun and always go down a storm. Our couples and their guests normally end up sat around fire pits until the wee hours with fantastic memories of the day. That is until they stumble back to their tents!
The Sunday is all about a hearty breakfast and a game of rounder’s for those that still feel as though their heads are attached to their shoulders. It’s a very relaxed vibe while we break down the site. What I will say is that these weddings are very different, very fresh into the market and we ensure that everyone goes home having experienced something that is not only totally different to anything else out there, but had the time of their lives!”
Ok where do I book?!! Like I said these guys do the whole event for you and will no doubt put on the wedding / festival you have always dreamed of! p.s they do all sorts of events so its not just weddings, any type of party, or celebration or event these guys can put a festival on for you.
