Things a festival wedding needs to make it awesome…

A super cool and super fun Bride & Groom, Tipi tents, Camping / Glamping, festival flags, sunglasses, festival wristbands, live music, DJ’s, silent disco, fancy dress, food trucks, bar, fire pit, dancing, a lake to swim in, more dancing, festival signage and an awesome crowd! Well Chris & Nicky’s Festival wedding had all of that and a whole lot more! Nicky & Chris got in touch with Wedfest early this year and told us about their amazing festival wedding they were planning and they wanted us to create their festival ticket wedding invites and wedding day stationery for their festival wedding extravaganza, and an extravaganza is what it turned out to be.

The couple have a love of all things music festival and wanted to create their own mini Glastonbury festival for their big day., and the first place to start is of course with festival wedding invitations.

Festival Ticket Wedding Invitations

The couple explained they wanted a bright and fun festival style wedding invitation to set the mood for their wedding guests. They told us how the wedding would be in a field, have lots of festival decor, festoon style lighting, sunflowers for the wedding flowers, festival flags, festival style signs and much more. With all of this in mind we set about creating their festival ticket wedding invitations.

The wedding invites turned out great and perfectly set the tone for the wedding day and also for the rest of the wedding stationery.

We made the wedding invites in a ticket style so that the guest could tear off the perforated stub and send it back as their RSVP Card.

The couple got married at All Saints Church in Odiham, Hampshire. From the very start this wedding was raising the bar in every way and ticking every box for what makes an amazing festival / rock n roll wedding. For example when the bride walks down the aisle on her wedding day to The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ you know that this is going to be a special day, a very special day!! 🙂

Once the wedding was over it was over to the festival field to get the party really started. This was such a fun wedding and with so much going on from live music, to fancy dress and everything in between you can see from the photos it looks amazing from start to finish.

The couple also has this amazing large WEDFEST sign which served as both a focus and backdrop to many of their wedding photos. This was really the icing on the cake for a fabulously decorated wedding.

Wedfest Festival Wedding Table Plan

For the wedding festival itself we made the couple more wedding stationery. For the wedding reception we made the couple this festival style poster wedding table plan. We used the same design style from the wedding invitations and carried it through the rest of the wedding stationery. The table plan was printed A1 size and mounted on to foamex board to make it rigid, and as you can see in the photo it looked amazing at the entrance of the tipi tent which hosted the wedding meal.

The couple named each of their wedding tables after a festival they have attended together, such as Glastonbury Festival, Bestival, Reading Festival, Download Festival etc. For guests to identify what table they were sitting at we made the couple festival style wedding table name cards which each stated the name of that table as you can in the photos beautifully captured by ELS Photography.

Customised Festival Wedding Wristbands

We also made the couple these super cool woven wristbands for their wedding guests to wear at the wedding. After all it ain’t a festival if you don’t have a festival wristband.

The wedding wristbands stated Chris & Nicky’s Wedfest and the date and location of their wedding. We made them in beautiful bright colours to compliment the rest of the day.
