Charlotte and Stevens Ibiza Wedding Stationery
As the dark mornings and even darker evenings continue in February we decided it is time for an injection of summer into our lives, and no better way to starting thinking of summer than having a look at Charlotte and Steven’s beautiful Ibiza Wedding and the Ibiza Wedding Stationery we created for them last year.
Charlotte got in touch with Wedfest after seeing some of the many Ibiza Weddings we designed wedding stationery for and wanted something similar for her own wedding which was taking place in San Carlos and San Lorenzo, Ibiza.
Ibiza Wedding Save The Date Wristbands
The first thing the couple wanted to work on was wedding save the dates. When couples are planning to travel for their wedding it is usually a good idea to give your guests the heads up that they will need more than a hat for your wedding day, but will also need sun cream and a bikini 🙂 For the wedding save the dates the couple wanted to send out save the date wristbands. We have made tons of save the date wristbands over the years and were excited to work on an Ibiza themed one. When you go out to Ibiza you usually come home with a load of nightclub wristbands so this was a great idea for the save the dates.
The save the date wristbands featured the couples names, the wedding location which was San Carlos, Ibiza, and the date of the wedding. We also designed the couple a save the date card which the wristbands were then wrapped around. The cards contained further information about the wedding to give the wedding guests an idea of dates and when to travel etc. The wristbands and the cards followed a gold, browns and mint colour scheme which was the wedding colours.
As you can see in the photos the wristbands turned out beautifully and the gold thread really looks amazing when sparkling in the gorgeous Ibiza sun!! (Feeling more summery yet??)
Ibiza Wedding Invitations
For their Ibiza Wedding Invitations the couple wanted something really special. They wanted to create a travel brochure style wedding invitation, with lots of information, things to do, a map of the islands hot spots and much more. We were really excited to work on this wedding invitation project as it meant spending a few days researching the topic we love most – IBIZA!!
For the over all look of the wedding invitations Charlotte pitched the idea of a vintage map theme, almost like a pirates treasure map. This was a really cool idea so we started researching treasure maps and vintage style maps to get some inspiration for our design. We could sit here all day talking about all the little details we applied to the design but we think this design speaks for itself. The invitations turned out truly beautiful amazing to look at. On a scale of 1 – 10, they are a sure fire 11.
The invites are a 6 page folded brochure featuring an introductory page which looks like it could literally be the front of any Ibiza tourist guide (only nicer). The next page has the details of the wedding and wedding invitation. The third page is a breakdown of the wedding weeks itinerary and what guests can expect. The fourth page is a list of the couples favourite places in Ibiza which are numbered and then featured further in the reverse side of the invite which features a beautiful vintage map of Ibiza with all the wedding locations and interesting points featured.
A truly magnificent wedding invitation design if we do say so ourselves. And as you can see in the couples photos a beautiful wedding deserved nothing more than beautiful wedding stationery to compliment it.
With a wedding invitation that amazing we also needed to design some wedding RSVP cards which looked equally as good. The RSVP Ibiza Postcards featured an outline of the island and the large IBIZA text on the front similar to the front of the wedding invitation. Again following the vintage design and colours used in the wedding invites and save the dates.
The wedding itself was a beautiful affair as you can see in the photos Charlotte so kindly sent us. The wedding ceremony took place in San Carlos Church and they later held the reception in San Lorenzo. The photos of the couple are truly amazing.
Order of Service Booklets
For the wedding ceremony itself we also made the couple Ibiza Wedding order of service booklets which again followed the same design style as the rest of the wedding stationery. We used a photo of San Carlos Church in the background of the cover of the OOS booklet.
As you can see in the photo below not only was the order of service booklets useful and practical at the ceremony but Steven also used it as a fan to keep himself cool in those high pressure moments in the no doubt very high temperatures 🙂
Charlotte and Steven’s Ibiza Wedding Stationery was certainly a highlight from last year for us at Wedfest. We are always designing amazing and unique wedding stationery but every now and again something stands out from the rest and this stationery was a highlight. It also helped that we actually photographed the wristbands in Ibiza so good memories there too!! haha!! 🙂
