Gatsby Themed Wedding Stationery with a Superhero Twist

Gatsby themed wedding stationery with a superhero twist – Adele & Jamie got in touch with us they told us that they wanted to create some beautiful Gatsby themed wedding invitations for their upcoming wedding day. We previously had only slightly touched on Gatsby themed wedding stationery so we were excited to get started on this project. But when later down the line they told us they wanted to combine a Gatsby theme with a superhero theme that made it really interesting. We had designed Gatsby themed designs and superhero themed wedding stationery in the past, but never combined, in fact this is probably the first time it has ever been done 🙂

For the wedding invites the couple told us they wanted to have them in our ticket wedding invitation style so that the wedding guests could tear off the RSVP cards and easily send them back. We set to work on the design and designed a beautiful white and gold Gatsby style wedding invite with the text in black. To make the invites extra special and give them a very rich finish we printed these on pearlescent card which shimmers in the light. This really set of the invites and especially with the gold print it made them look really sparkly.

The wedding invites turned out really well and the pearlescent card was the perfect finish to compliment this design, and we provided gold envelopes to package the wedding invites perfectly.

When it came to creating the rest of the wedding stationery the couple came back to us with an exciting twist. They wanted to combine the Gatsby theme with a superhero theme for their wedding table plan and wedding table name cards.

For the Gatsby themed wedding table plan we followed the same design style and colours as the wedding invites previously. For each of the wedding tables, instead of giving them a number or a name each one was allocated a superhero logo or badge such as batman’s famous bat sign, superman’s S logo, the avengers logo etc. This as you can see looked really cool and turned out extremely good looking. It is not every day you hear the words Gatsby and superhero in the same sentence never mind the same design theme.

For the table cards we then used the Gatsby style frame and had the superhero logos stand alone in the centre of the cards. Again we printed thes eon the pearlescent card with gave them a lovely glimmer and sparkle when the light hits them.

For the wedding tables we also made the couple some Gatsby themed wedding menus, each of these was personalised with the wedding guests name on them so that they also doubled as wedding place name settings.

Finally we also made the couple a Gatsby themed order of service / running order as seen below.

This was a really fun and interesting project and theme to work on.
